Johana was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2019. As a first-generation, undocumented college student herself, Johana understands the challenges many students face in pursuing higher education.

She currently serves as a Post-Secondary Program Specialist with the “I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County, where she supports students as they navigate the path to and through college. As a former BCLL scholarship recipient during her own college journey, Johana feels especially grateful for the opportunity to serve on the board and give back to the community that supported her along the way.
